Subang, June 24, 2025 – PT DAHA NA, the national explosives company and a member of DEFEND ID, welcomed a delegation from the Defense Information Bureau (Infohan) of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia as part of the Defense Industry Exploration program. The event took place at the DAHANA Campus in Subang, West Java. This initiative is part of a series of strategic communication programs by the Ministry of Defense aimed at strengthening collaboration between the government, industry, and media to support the independence of the national defense industry.

The visit was led by Brigadier General TNI Frega Wenas Inkiriwang, the Head of the Defense Information Bureau of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Defense. The delegation included representatives from various national media outlets, including print, online, and television. The group had the opportunity to explore the explosives production and testing facilities located in the Energetic Material Center (EMC) area, which is recognized as a hub for integrated and modern explosives technology in Indonesia.

Brigadier General Inkiriwang emphasized that the Defense Industry Exploration program is an integral part of the Ministry of Defense’s communication strategy to create a constructive information ecosystem regarding the domestic defense industry. He highlighted the important role of the media in shaping public perception and building trust in the national defense sector.

“The Ministry of Defense cannot operate in isolation. Collaboration with industry players and the media is essential for conveying accurate, positive, and strategic information to the public. We believe that with transparency and trust, the public will better understand the necessity of defense independence,” said Brigadier General Inkiriwang.

The Director of Technology and Development at PT DAHANA expressed his appreciation for the Ministry of Defense’s strategic initiative in organizing this event. He pointed out that the exploration activity is more than just an industrial visit; it is part of an effort to foster transparent and collaborative communication with the public to bolster the national defense ecosystem.

“We appreciate this initiative, which serves not only as a means of disseminating information to the public but also as a bridge to enhance synergy between the government, industry, and the media. Events like today are vital for strengthening communication, collaboration, and trust,” he stated.

As a part of the DEFEND ID holding, PT DAHANA is committed to supporting the independence program for the national main weapon system (alpalhankam) through expertise in explosives technology and innovation. “We believe that a defense industry like DAHANA acts not only as an economic entity but also as a guardian of sovereignty through technology and innovation. The presence of media colleagues here is crucial for building a positive narrative and perception of the national defense industry,” he continued.

During the event, participants were also provided with information about DAHANA’s history, company profile, flagship products, and performance achievements. Established in 1966 through the AURI Menang Project, DAHANA has evolved into a national strategic company that caters to the explosive needs of both military and commercial sectors.

DAHANA’s business operations encompass various sectors, including general mining, quarrying, construction, oil and gas, and military applications. The majority of production and development processes occur in the Energetic Material Center (EMC) in Subang, West Java, an integrated and modern industrial area equipped with production facilities, testing laboratories, storage bunkers, and distribution infrastructure that adheres to stringent safety standards.

In the commercial sector, DAHANA’s leading products include DANFO, Dayagel (cartridge explosives), DABEX (emulsion explosives), Dayaprime (booster), Dayadet (non-electric detonator), among others. In the military sector, DAHANA manufactures military detonators, rocket propellants, and provides explosive filling services for bombs and ammunition. Recently, DAHANA has successfully produced P Series Bombs, Defense Rockets, and Rocket Launch Vehicles.

The delegation also had the chance to review the test bunker and detonator production facilities, witnessing the production process firsthand and observing the company’s commitment to high safety standards at every stage. This exploration at DAHANA is part of a series of visits previously conducted at PT Dirgantara Indonesia, PT Pindad, and PT LEN Industri.

After visiting DAHANA, the group continued their journey to PT PAL Indonesia in Surabaya to explore developments in maritime defense technology, concluding the defense industry exploration program jointly initiated by the Ministry of Defense and DEFEND ID.
